The Centos 6 distribution will end of life on November 30, 2020 (https://wiki.centos.org/About/Product).
We would like to inform all VPS / Public Cloud and dedicated servers customers, that Allnet4u Enterprise is following the end of life of distributions and will also depreciate the image of Centos 6 on our infrastructure.
Centos 6 effective depreciation date is December 1, 2020
The impacted services are VPS, Public Cloud and dedicated servers
The impact will be as follows:
• We will no longer provide services with Centos 6
• Customers who automate the deployment of their infrastructure using the Centos 6 image, will no longer be supported.
• We recommend to our customers who are currently using Centos 6 to upgrade their operating system to at least Centos 7 or reinstall their services (data will be lost) with Centos 7 or 8.
• Update the automated deployment scripts to use Centos 7 or 8.
We do not recommend using Centos 6 after November 30, as it will no longer be maintained and this could impact your services.
However, if you want to continue using Centos 6, you can, like all of our customers, upload your own images and use them for instance deployment.
