Each dedicated server Enterprise has a minimum public bandwidth of 500 Mbit/s, with a burst available to absorb occasional peak traffic. Incoming and outgoing traffic is unlimited and free (with the exception of our datacentres located in Asia Pacific). You also have the option of increasing your bandwidth capacity, if necessary.

We include vast choice of operating systems to install. This includes various operating systems (Windows Server, Debian, Ubuntu or CentOS), Plesk and cPanel web management interfaces, and also Microsoft SQL Server for databases. Virtualisation solutions, like VMware, CoreOS and Windows Hyper-V, are also available.

IP blocks
Failover Capabilities

By adding IP blocks, you can configure multiple IP addresses to your services. You can assign IPs into groups of 4, 8, 16, or up to 256 per server, with unlimited block publications. This makes upgrades simple, as you can reroute your IP to new hardware, rather than having to reconfigure the static IP. With multiple IPs grouped into blocks, you can manage your platforms more efficiently — upgrading and migrating from one service to another with ease. IP blocks increase your control and speed, so that you can execute your business strategies and responses quickly.

Failover IPs, also named floating IPs, can be switched from one service to another in a few seconds. This means you get an uninterrupted hosting solution, and it helps you overcome issues such as hardware failure, system overruns, and other kinds of infrastructure issues. This way, if you switch from one service to another, you can keep the entire configuration linked to that IP. Floating IPs provide a solution which removes interruption or downtime if servers are overrun, and can be used in this way for “Always On” availability.

With floating IPs, also known as failover IPs, you can create complex infrastructures that are able to withstand a wide variety of issues. For example, you can switch your existing infrastructure to a load balancer without disrupting or interrupting your customer services. Workloads can be balanced autonomously, while your online space continues as normal. There will be no noticeable IP address changes as you will always use floating IP, which means no DNS propagation delay.

This relieves the primary server of the heavy workload, so it can be operational again.

With floating IPs, you can curb the risk of downtime altogether. A failover IP, also called a floating IP, enhances service continuity (“failover”) for your applications and systems. With failover IP technology, you can switch the IP addresses from one service to another in less than a minute, with almost no service interruption for your users. This mechanism can be used during service migrations, moving projects from development to production environments, and switching services to a backup server in the event of an incident.

We include public bandwidth  with each dedicated server, as well as additional guaranteed bandwidth options and unlimited, unmetered traffic.

Your dedicated server has a minimum public bandwidth of 500Mbps, with a burst available to absorb the occasional peak traffic. You can also increase your bandwidth capacity, and make it guaranteed for specific upload requirements or mass distribution like software updates, VOD (video on demand) and live streaming. With available connections across the globe, our network enables you to optimise your infrastructure for distribution worldwide.

With our burst option you can increase your bandwidth on-demand to accommodate increased traffic loads. The 1 Gbps and 3 Gbps burst feature is enabled by default on 1 Gbps and 10 Gbps (respectively). With the IPMI (Intelligent Platform Management Interface) console, you can access your Dedicated Server directly, without needing to use any external software (e.g. a terminal or PuTTY). This guide will explain how to boot this console.

Please note that you may also see the term KVM (Keyboard Video and Mouse) used for this solution, particularly for VPS products.

* For accessing the IPMI, you need the Server Power Cpntrol script add-on that you can order with your server or anytime after.

You can still fix your server without the IPMI, in that case your server need to be “switched” by our support team in Rescue mode.

Rescue mode is a tool on your server that allows you to boot into a temporary operating system for the purpose of diagnosing and resolving issues.

Usual tasks the rescue mode is appropriate for include:

  • Resetting your root password
  • Diagnosing network problems
  • Repairing a broken operating system
  • Fixing a software firewall misconfiguration
  • Testing disk performance
  • Testing CPU and RAM

Backing up your data should be the first step in rescue mode if you do not already have recent backups available.

To activate the rescue mode on your server, you need to open a trouble ticket.

A temporary password will be send to you by our support team to login in rescue mode (SSH) with your server main IP.

Once your task is completed, use the same ticket ans ask to “switch” back to normal mode.

Our support team will respond that your server is in normal mode and you will be able to login with your original login.

*With the Server Power Cpntrol script add-on, you can do this task by yourself and no need to contact us.

Your server is delivered with our private physical network — the vRack. This means you can create your own cluster, or include your server in an existing infrastructure. It is fully isolated from the internet, and delivered at no extra cost.

Your server has a default minimum bandwidth. Ingress and egress traffic is unlimited and free (with the exception of our datacentres located in the Asia-Pacific region). You also have the option of increasing the volume of your bandwidth.

With Allnet4u Enterprise, you get unlimited, non-metered traffic included as a standard (excludes datacentres located in the Asia-Pacific region).

However, the network resources are shared between customers. Bandwidth has a fair usage rule (apart from users who have signed up to the guaranteed bandwidth option).

To ensure optimal performance for all of our customers, Allnet4u Enterprised reserves the right to limit a service’s outgoing public bandwidth throughput by up to 50%, if it has a detrimental effect on network quality for other users.

Dedicated server Enterprise come with two physical network cards*. One is dedicated to the public network (internet). The other is reserved for the private network. The private network enables your different services to communicate with one another via a dedicated channel, regardless of their location.
